There are road crossings between Vietnam and China, Laos and Cambodia. Travelling by road through Laos or Cambodia towards Vietnam (or vice-versa) can be dangerous, as there are often reports of "bandits" in some remote areas. Be sure to check current conditions before setting out by road.
